Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) We are thrilled to announce that the DVPC team is expanding and actively recruiting a highly skilled and passionate Human Resources Business Partner to join the Business Operations Team. This role is vital in supporting a workforce dedicated to domestic and family violence (DFV) services, requiring a deep understanding of the unique challenges and support needs of employees working in trauma-informed environments.

Additionally, individuals who have experience in recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and workplace health and safety are encouraged to apply.
About the role As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will be responsible for aligning the organisation's human capital strategy with its mission and objectives. You will work closely with leadership and management teams to implement HR initiatives that support both operational and strategic goals. This includes recruitment, career conversations, workforce planning, staff development, and ensuring compliance with HR laws and policies.
The role also involves overseeing workplace health and safety, flexible working, managing employee relations, and driving a culture of learning, diversity, and inclusion. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing the employee experience and supporting staff wellbeing, while maintaining a compliant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
This is a full-time (36.25hrs/week) role.
About you We are looking for someone with the following key attributes:
Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources professional within the not-for-profit sector Proven ability to partner with senior leaders to implement HR strategies that align with organisational goals Expertise in recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, including risk assessments and incident management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation Experience in using HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture About us The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre (DVPC) is a specialist service which supports women, young people and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. We also deliver the Men's DV Education and Intervention program and convene an Integrated Response group that works with agencies on the Gold Coast to improve collaboration and responses to women and children to enhance their safety and wellbeing.
