The Opportunity As the Human Resources Administration Officer you'll work alongside our HR Advisors, Learning and Development, Payroll and Recruitment Officers and HR Coordinator to complete administrative work for the department. In your role, you will optimise our employee experience while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the administration of recruitment and selection including advertising, scheduling interviews, candidate customer service, onboarding and inductionAssisting with scheduling trainingPerforming accurate and timely data entryAdministering and maintaining various HR systemsProviding high quality customer service to Council's internal and external customerCreating purchase orders and actioning invoicesThis is a permanent, full time position based in the Bairnsdale or Lakes Entrance offices with hybrid working available (work from home 2 days per week).
Minimum Requirements: Experience in human resources administration / or administrationHighly developed administration skills using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and numeracy.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisationAbility to interpret the East Gippsland Shire Council Enterprise agreement and employment law legislationAbility to work cooperatively and positively in a sensitive and confidential manner.Ability to work from home.If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
