Emeco Group (ASX: EHL) was founded in 1972 and is a world leader in maximising the performance of heavy earthmoving equipment.
It has operations in all key mining regions of Australia and its customers include mining companies and contractors across coal, gold, copper, bauxite and iron ore.
Due to continued rapid growth and expansion within our HSE department we are now on the hunt for a HSET Advisor to join the team based in Osborne Park.
The Role: Coaching, training and advising managers on a range of HSET issues and equip them with the appropriate HSET tools and knowledge to effectively lead and manage their teams.
Actively support the development and maintenance of sites Safety Health Management System (SHMS).
Educate and embed the organisational policies, processes, systems, and procedures in support of the national HSET strategy and Emeco Safety Health and Environment Management System.
Ensure that site HSET records are maintained to a high level.
Provide regular analysis and reporting of metrics to the business to communicate progress against HSET plans and key objectives.
Proactively provide hands-on assistance in the implement of HSE tools and process.
Lead incident investigations with site management to ensure root causes and corrective actions are identified, compile investigation reports, and ensure corrective actions are communicated and support their implementation within the agreed time frame.
Coaching managers in ICAM methodology.
Monitor and manage the event management system – Viking (MYOSH) to your delegated authority level accurately and in a timely manner as per ESHMS-12 – PRO-001 Incident Report and Investigation Procedure.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits and monitor compliance.
Ensure all non-conformances or improvement opportunities identified in audits are reviewed and appropriate actions implemented within agreed time frame.
Assisting the Injury Management coordinator with injured workers and the return-to-work coordination.
About you: Current Drivers Licence.
High Risk Work License (HRWL).
Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety and/or Environment.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Preferred).
Certification in Workplace Auditing and Workplace Investigations (e.g.
ICAM). High level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety and/or Environment and Training.
Previous experience in a similar role; working in a high-risk safety environment, e.g.
mining, resources, engineering, construction or manufacturing sectors.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislative requirements and the ability to effectively apply these in the workplace.
Proven ability to drive cultural change and capability across the region.
