Job Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSEQ Manager to join our growing team.
As the HSEQ Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations align with the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality.

The role will involve regular travel to support all company operations but will primarily be based in Mackay.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management systems.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and legislation.Manage a small team of safety professionals.Manage the implementation and monitoring of integrated management systems.Collaborate with teams to ensure the effective adoption of systems and processes.Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.Develop and deliver training programmes to educate employees on HSEQ policies, procedures, and best practices.Foster a strong safety culture within the organisation.Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Ensure timely reporting and documentation of all incidents.Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards related to health, safety, environment, and quality.Advise management on compliance requirements and potential impacts on operations.Prepare for and coordinate external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.Manage internal audit processes to evaluate the effectiveness of systems.Implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Compile and reference project safety documentation, ensuring alignment with ISO Standards and Federal Safety Commission standards.Oversee work site safety setup and maintenance.Manage pre-works mobilisation of subcontractors, including inductions, plant compliance, and SWMS review.Qualifications and Skills: Minimum Diploma in WHS.Critical thinking.Federal Safety management experience.Experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.In-depth knowledge of all HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Advanced Microsoft Office competency.Construction White Card.Current first aid and CPR.ICAM or equivalent trained.Return to work coordinator trained.Join us in shaping the future of our company and making a positive impact in the industry.
