Health, Safety & Environment (Construction)Full timeWurf Resourcing is currently inviting applications for a newly created HSEQ Manager position that will drive safety, compliance, process, quality, and systems controls across a renowned national business committed to continuous improvement.This is a leadership role, representing an opportunity to work for one of the highest regarded insurance and remediation building groups, with the role presiding over three specialist business units:Insurance building projectsThe position will report directly to the Group Operations General Manager and work closely with each of the business unit owners (GMs), whilst benefiting from content specialist safety support in each of the units. You will also have the opportunity to further develop/build your own team.Operations and projects are diverse and include everything from volume domestic housing (insurance contracts) through to the decontamination of major precincts such as Queens Wharf and Parliament House. As such, we require a pragmatic and practical leader, able to adopt fit-for-purpose solutions whilst maintaining delivery efficiencies.You will be a calm, approachable and collaborative leader who can lead by influence and further develop staff competences and education, rather than by demand through position authority/title. Superior communication skills are non-negotiable as you will be relied upon to consult across the company at a management, site, and sub-contractor level.The position is open to experienced HSEQ Managers who will ideally be able to demonstrate the following:Extensive experience managing company safety, audit, quality, and compliance requirements at a business/corporate level within the built environment.The ability to interpret and apply relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and Federal/State Legislation, identifying the governing nuisances across different States.The ability to develop and implement company policies and procedures based on the above authorities/standards.Oversee incident investigation, inspections, return to work programs, WHSE site management plans.Ability to compile Board-level reports, recommendations/advice based on statistical and analytical insight.Strong computer, written and professional communication/presentation skills.Stable and loyal tenure to previous Employers.Exposure to the insurance works, remediation, asbestos sectors would be advantageous, with applicants to be considered from relevant built environments.On offer, is a highly attractive package, along with added incentives to be rewarded in line with business and personal performance, complete with a rewarding leadership pathway in a growing National business.Applications can be submitted to Wurf Resourcing in writing via the Apply button below or contact Joe Wurf for a confidential discussion on (07) 3367 2066 for more information.Note: this is not a formal work from home position, though relevant flexibilities are afforded to all staff as and when personal requirements arise.
