The Role
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to influence and drive positive safety practices to our dynamic teams of plant operators, enabling them to meet safe productivity, cost, and quality requirements to achieve targets.
As the HSEQ Advisor you will be responsible for assisting the HSEQ Manager and Site Supervisors with safety management system implementation, which includes updated policies and procedures for new projects when required.
The role is site based in WA on a 2:1 or 8:6 Roster, and is day shift only. Job tasks and responsibilities Provide instruction, training, advice and guidance on all matters health and safetyMonitor and negotiate any conflict resolutions relating to health and safety mattersDisseminate all relevant health and safety information and documentation to all personnel representing Cardinal Contractors, customers, stakeholders or mine site personnel as requiredPrepare reports for Management relating to occupational health and safetyDevelop and maintain an occupational workplace health and safety system, including policies, procedures and manualsAssist with and develop emergency plans and proceduresPromote occupational workplace health and safety within the CompanyAssist with return-to-work injury practices when requiredProvide expert advice on all matters relating to occupational health and safetyProvide advice on matters of safety, health and rehabilitationReview, assess and develop safer methods of workingInspect workplaces and equipment to ensure they meet safety regulationsIdentify hazards and risks, and develop procedures to minimise or eliminate themSupport the team in the development of JSEA's, SWP's, SWMS and CRAWSPresent Toolbox meetings and conduct pre-start meetings when requiredKey requirements A minimum of 3 years in a similar role in occupational health and safetyHold a relevant qualification in Occupational Workplace Health and Safety minimum Cert IVMUST have a valid TAE40116 Trainer and Assessor Cert IV - essentialDemonstrated adherence to accident and reporting proceduresExceptional knowledge and practical application of workplace Occupational Workplace Health & SafetyExperience in working in a drive-in-drive-out (DIDO),fly-in-fly-out role (FIFO) is advantageousIncident investigation qualifications such as ICAM is advantageousHold a current first aid and CPR certificateExperience in developing CRAWS, SWP's and SWMSNational Police Clearance (not older than 12 months).Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.Employee Benefits Employee Assistance Program.Well established company in operation since 1962.Growing, with a strong pipeline of future projects.Strong reputation with long standing client agreements.Day shift only.Tier 1 resources clients.Next Step
