ETS Infrastructure Management (ETS) is a privately-owned company with operations spread across 6 states and a workforce of approximately 1,150 employees, plus subcontractors.
Since its establishment in 1981, ETS has focused on delivering effective, efficient and sustainable solutions across various industries, including the electrical distribution industry, road networks, railways, telecommunication, mining, government and water utility sectors.
About the role: ETS are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support Operations in NSW.
This role will report directly through to the General Manager HSEQ and work closely with Operational Managers in the region.
The role will be based out of Tamworth, with regular regional travel across the State to provide HSEQ support to the team.
Regular living away from home will also be required as part of this role as our contracts cover Tamworth, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Inverell and Dubbo.
The primary functions of the role are to: Provide local level operational HSEQ support and adviceSupport and guide operational areas in ongoing enhancement of HSEQ culture and behavioursWork as an active business partner with key stakeholders at all levels in the business to help deliver improved business performanceDeliver ongoing continuous improvement of HSEQ systems and culture in line with business wide HSEQ strategiesThe key responsibilities of this position will be: Provide HSEQ operational support to the Vegetation Management division in NSWEncourage a strong safety culture and safe work behaviours within field-based crews by having a consistent presence onsite in the field.Influence, lead, mentor and coach operational areas to ongoing enhancement of HSEQ culture and behaviours.Build and sustain positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Support and complete effective incident investigations with internal stakeholdersComplete regular field auditing, inductions, training and other HSEQ operational activities as required.Support the delivery of communication and consultation activities, including toolbox meetings and HSEQ committeesSupport risk register activities within business areas, and support and guide stakeholdersTo be successful in this hands-on role you will need the following skills and experience: Cert IV OHS or tertiary qualifications in a HSEQ or related disciplineA minimum of 2 years' experience in a HSEQ role in a similar industry & risk profileUtilities and Vegetation Management experience highly desirableExcellent communication skills and the ability to relate to all levels across the businessHighly motivated with a positive attitude and strong team focusExperienced in developing and maintaining strong working partnerships with stakeholdersAble to work autonomously and manage multiple responsibilitiesInvestigation skills (ICAM Lead Investigator training would be desirable)Australian Driver's LicenceThis position will be a key role within ETS, and the successful person must lead by example and drive a strong culture in line with ETS Values:
