Ongoing refurbishment projects on Defence bases Car allowance provided Construction experience is essential THE ROLE You will be responsible for providing HSEQ support for refurbishment projects on Defence sites, HMAS Creswell and HMAS Albatross.
Responsibilities Assist project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation Coach, advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements & changes to comply with company procedures Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions as per company procedures Assist management to encourage a healthy safe and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits, Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings Coordinate HESQ training programs including the maintenance of competency standards Actively analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed ABOUT YOU Experience in communicating with Direct workforce and working with safe methods of work Experience in reviewing of SWMS, JHA's and conducting Audits An understanding of Quality Management processes Prior experience leading HSEQ in construction Flexibility to travel to various other various areas of SNSW Ability to operate autonomously whilst ensuring project efficiency Qualifications & requirements White Card ACT Asbestos Awareness (11084NAT Asbestos Awareness) ACT Silica Awareness (10830NAT Silica Awareness) Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline Police clearance due to projects being on Defence sites THE BENEFITS Car allowance Ongoing rewards & recognition programs Access to everyday discounts from Australia's leading retailers with Flare Paid parental leave Employee referral programs up to $2000 Salary sacrifice options Employee Assistance Program Novated lease options First Aid and Mental First Aid Support Officers Submit your resume today and start a conversation with one of our recruiters.
