"Connecting People and Places to Make the World Work Better". Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of HSEQ Advisor at our Melbourne Airport T1 location, employed on a Full Time basis.
The Role: Reporting to HSEQ Manager, the HSE Advisor will work across all ISS security points at Melbourne Airport T1 Terminal, providing assistance to managers and supervisors with the implementation of the Health, Safety & Environment system at the local level. The HSEQ Advisor will provide efficient and effective innovations that will drive continual improvement from a Health, Safety & Environment and regulatory compliance perspective.
This position will champion safety and compliance programs through the best use of site-based, divisional, client and Group resources, with a strong ability to lead and influence management on safety related issues and invest in cultural change to reduce workplace injury.
The Position: Assist in the leadership of workplace compliance inspections and audits Work closely with the Operations teams for internal incident reporting, investigations, monitoring and closing out all the incidents and injury corrective actions Maintain the incident register and follow up corrective actions. Lead / Support the risk management practices including risk assessments, workplace inspections, implementation of WH&S procedures Contribute to onsite induction & training including coaching employees as required in WHS and developing training presentations on safety related issues Conduct onsite inspections and tool box talks Participate and lead in various safety and consultative committee meetings Oversee and implement return to work plans Assist with ISO audit preparation and internal audits Gathering, evaluating data for reporting purposes Our Benefits: Competitive salary packaging On-site parking provided Access to staff discounts with wide range of companies Ongoing learning and development opportunities Internal opportunities within our global organisation Positive company culture Minimum Criteria: Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree qualified in Occupational Health & Safety Strong knowledge of WHS Act, Regulations and Codes for Victoria Strong knowledge of theories and drivers contributing to injury in the service industry Quality Management system experience and understanding High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent level of verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated coaching style, with the skill to influence across all levels of an organisation and various stakeholders Ability to successfully pass drug & alcohol screening Ability to obtain an ASIC (National Criminal Background Check) Hold an unrestricted drivers licence and have own reliable vehicle Proven experience in the aviation industry highly desirable but not essential Previous Defence or military experience highly desirable To apply for this role please click on the 'apply' link and complete the online application.
