Health, Safety & Environment (Construction)Full timeThe Shelford Group is a large construction company, having successfully managed commercial and residential construction projects in the Perth metropolitan area and southwest regions for over 30 years.The OpportunityDue to consistent growth of our commercial and residential construction divisions, we are providing a suitably qualified and experienced person with the opportunity to join our health and safety management team as a HSEQ Administrator. Under direction from the Corporate Services Manager, you will be working closely with our HSEQ and construction management teams to develop and improve the company's safety management systems and processes. You will also have primary responsibility for maintaining our ISO Certification and Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC) Accreditation for our commercial construction division.Your specific functions will include:Working with key internal and external stakeholders to manage and maintain Shelford's ISO and FSC CertificationsDeveloping, implementing, and monitoring company HSE policies, procedures, plans and other key documentsConducting internal HSEQ management system audits in accordance with audit schedulesProviding advice on legislative, company and client site health and safety compliance requirementsManaging HSEQ document control processesPerforming onsite HSEQ management functions as requiredConducting incident investigations in conjunction with our HSEQ ManagerMonitoring and reporting on site HSE performance and compliance with legislative, company and client site requirementsCreating and implementing internal training and development programsAbout YouAs the successful candidate you'll ideally have the following skills, knowledge and experience:Diploma or above in Occupational Health and SafetySite-based HSE management experienceExperience in successfully leading ISO and FSC certification processesHigh level knowledge of HSE legislation, Codes of Practice and StandardsLead Auditor CertificationCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentDemonstrated capacity to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve successful outcomesAbility to analyse data and synthesize complex documents (policy, plans, procedures, reports etc)High level skills in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication and people skillsHigh level time management capacityHigh initiative and critical thinking abilityWhat we Offer:Opportunity to work on a range of commercial and residential projectsGrowing business with career development opportunitiesStrong practical management support and trainingFriendly and supportive work environmentIf you think you have the drive and commitment to capitalise on this exciting opportunity, please click the APPLY button to submit your up-to-date resume and cover letter.Please note that all applications will be held in the strictest confidence and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
