This role operates on a FIFO 2/1 roster and will oversee the company's 2 open pit projects.
The Position: Ensure adherence to the company's audit and assurance framework by aligning operations with company standards, industry best practices, and relevant legislation. Provide proactive WHS advice and support to line management. Compile and analyze safety performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Lead and facilitate incident investigations to ICAM standards and implement strategies to minimize harm. Oversee WHS contractor management responsibilities. Work closely with site leadership to identify and address training needs, developing customized solutions to close skill gaps and improve performance. Organize and conduct OHS, Mine Rescue, and other relevant training as required. Support and mentor safety committees, and prepare and lead toolbox meetings, along with communicating safety-related information. Manage and maintain databases and spreadsheets as needed. Assist in injury management and support return-to-work programs. Foster and promote a robust safety culture across the region, setting a positive example. The Requirements: Minimum 5+ years' mining WHS experience and demonstrated and proven Safety Lead/Superintendent experience with at least 1 year in a similar role. Operational experience in mineral processing or fixed plant maintenance highly regarded. Tertiary Degree Qualified in HSE related field. ICAM Lead Investigator. Certificate III - Mine Emergency Response Rescue (Essential). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Essential). Certificate IV Health Care or Diploma of Paramedical Science (Desirable).
