Currently, we are representing a prominent organisation in the FMCG space in need of a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, 2-3 days per week.
Position Overview:
As the HSE Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the HSE Management System for our client. Reporting directly to the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment, you will focus on conducting risk assessments, creating training materials, reviewing and approving SOPs, and supporting the rollout of Life Saving Rules. This position is based in Western Sydney and may involve occasional collaboration with our client's team in QLD.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the HSE Management System, including risk assessments and registers and training content.Review and approve SOPs to ensure compliance with WHS/Environmental legislation and corporate standards.Lead investigations of high/moderate risk incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to implement preventative and corrective actions.Liaise with 3rd parties, customers, and key stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.Participate in workplace safety activities and promote a best practice approach to HSEMS across the organisation.Qualifications and Experience Required: Certificate IV / Diploma or Degree in Workplace Health and Safety.3-5 years of experience in a HSE management role, preferably in manufacturing, transport, or logistics.Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems and risk management frameworks.Experience in sustainability or environmental management will be advantageous.Success Criteria: Ability to think critically, solve problems, and interpret relevant WHS legislation.Demonstrated self-management skills, including prioritisation and time management.Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to collaborate effectively under pressure.A commitment to fostering a culture of safety and compliance.Join the Team:
