The Person We are seeking a candidate with a can-do attitude that is interested in developing their skill set especially in HSE, training and development.
This is a rare opportunity to join our professional Maintenance team, based on a major iron ore project in the Pilbara.
This is a front-line, hands-on role, keeping our People and the Site safe.
As part of the onsite team, you will ensure that the crew are safe and educated to perform a variety of tasks on conveyor components and related mineral processing systems.
You will train them and verify their knowledge, skills and technical competencies, along with working and gaining experience in other onsite administrative tasks.
Your role will include: Working with the HSEQ Advisor, provide support, coordination and advise on HSE practices, systems and procedures; Ensuring legislative requirements are being met; Promoting the H&S plan and support operational leaders in their H&S improvement journey; Influencing the site to ensure the delivery and application of fundamental H&S processes; Developing your safety leadership skills and confidently demonstrating visible leadership; Assisting in any necessary audit processes; Gaining experience and providing immediate onsite support for incident investigations and risk assessments; Assisting with the injury management and rehabilitation process; Facilitating onsite inductions and training for employees and contractors; Involvement with mobilisation to site; Site Administration tasks such as PPE stock check, general data entry and document writing.
To be successful you must bring: Ability to multitask, prioritise work and adapt to change; Quality Systems experience well regarded; Drivers License; Demonstrated commitment to safety; Ability to follow direction and strong sense of teamwork; Willingness to undertake and ability to pass daily pre-start alcohol tests and random drug tests; Experience with STEM's software highly regarded; Formal HSE Qualifications and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable but not essential; Right to Live and Work in Australia.
The role is 8 days on, 6 days off, dayshift only.
FIFO Perth - Cape Preston Accommodation and meals are provided onsite in a well-appointed camp.
