About the role
Join us in a newly created key HSE Manager position and lead the way in fostering a safe and sustainable workplace culture! In this role, you'll partner closely with business units to shape and implement impactful HSE strategies. From coaching leaders on proactive safety and accountability to ensuring environmental and sustainability compliance, you'll play a key role in supporting HSE goals at every level. With a focus on collaborative leadership, you'll help drive initiatives that inspire awareness and ownership across teams. Ideal for a strategic, people-focused professional passionate about health, safety, and environmental excellence. Role can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities include Outlining clear roles and deliverables for team members, understanding resource requirements and business impacts, and supporting people through change. Rewarding and recognizing excellent performance while managing individuals with performance gaps. Leading the implementation of our HSE Strategy across the BU(s) to promote a risk-aware culture that drives sustainable improvements in HSE outcomes. Supporting People Leaders in fully considering HSE implications, strategic HSE issues, risks, and capability to deliver business objectives. Providing effective and timely advice to stakeholders on HSE strategy and systems to assist with meeting legislative obligations relevant to their areas of influence and accountability. Attending Client and key stakeholder HSEQ meetings as required. Supporting Client and customer HSEQ audits, meetings, and site inspections as needed. About You
You are a compassionate leader with a proven track record in HSE management within the utilities, services, or infrastructure sectors. Known for your supportive coaching style, you empower teams to reach new heights in safety and wellbeing while fostering an environment of continuous learning and accountability.
Key Strengths: Guiding and supporting HSE teams to partner effectively with operational leaders. Empowering and coaching business leaders to instil a proactive safety culture. Expertly managing critical HSE risks through a pragmatic and rational approach. Engaging and influencing stakeholders to foster safety maturity across teams. Continuously improving HSE systems, emphasizing risk awareness and innovation.
