Full time
$110,000 – $130,000 per year + site allowances
Office based Monday – Friday with frequent short duration project site visits throughout WA (local & regional)
When not travelling to work sites, based in Henderson Office
About the Role:
As part of this team, you will be responsible for supporting our Quality, Health and Safety & Environment (QHSE) strategies as well as coordinating training programs and providing support to various project teams.
Identify potential gaps in HSE compliance and formulate a plan of action to rectify in consultation with management
Provide practical HSE assistance and advice to projects in the field
Coordinate health and safety programs on site to drive a strong safety culture
Conduct task observations and workplace inspections/audits for operational and project activities
Training and mentoring of Project team members regarding QHSE processes, procedures and use of tools to ensure compliance
Conduct investigations and close out of incidents, near misses and hazards
Conducting Verification of Competency training to evaluate employees' ability to operate equipment and perform tasks
Support injury management processes and QHS management systems
About you:
The ability to work autonomously as you will be the one representative in WA for HSEQ. You also have a good working knowledge of legislation, guidelines and construction industry best practices that you apply with commonsense and keep your team well informed. In addition to this:
Diploma in WHS
Ability to undertake regular site visits to projects sites throughout WA
Ability to drive strong HSE culture and lead by example
Current Class C Drivers Licence
Incident Cause Analysis Measures (ICAM) &/or Certi IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
