About the Role: We are at an exciting time at Woodside Energy as we set our organisation up to thrive through the Energy transition. The HR team is seeking someone with strong knowledge and experience in implementing governance and controls frameworks to help ensure continued success into the future.
The purpose of the role will be to develop and execute governance frameworks and risk controls to ensure HR functional effectiveness and compliance. Additionally, this role will coordinate cyclical and adhoc reporting activities to ensure compliance with internal and external requests, audits, regulations and guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities: This role is based from our global headquarters in Perth, and our state-of-the-art campus reflects the quality-of-life Perth is known for - with a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and flexibility in how you work.
In this role you will:
Work closely with leaders and SME's across the global HR function to develop policies, procedures and controls for assessing the effectiveness of HR. The controls and measures will be a mix of internally developed KPI metrics, as well as external regulatory and legislative requirements. Work closely with HR leaders and SME's to assess, document and mitigate risks. Maintain the HR Work Management System and other corporate risk documents. Play a critical role in supporting internal and external audits. Coordinate periodic reporting activities to ensure compliance with internal and external requests, regulations and guidelines. Skills & Experience: We are seeking a degree-qualified professional with a background in HR, Commerce, Business, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of defining, implementing, measuring, and reporting on control and governance frameworks. While experience within a large HR function would be advantageous, it is not essential.
To succeed in this role, we need someone who can establish strong and trustworthy relationships and adeptly influence at all levels of the HR function, up to the executive level. Additionally, experience with change management would be beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are fundamental to the successful execution of this role.
As far as technical skills go, the successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, HR analytics and reporting, and also have significant knowledge of audit and compliance processes. Experience with navigating ambiguity and driving results would also be highly valued.
