We're searching for an HR Director to join the Marine Sector of Babcock, in a newly created role that covers both the UK and international growth. The Marine Sector HRD is a member of the Sector Leadership Team and also the People Leadership Team. Reporting to the CPO, you will partner with the newly appointed Marine Sector CEO.
Location:
Flexible. Regular travel to Rosyth, Devonport, Bristol, and London.
Salary:
Six Figure Base with Bonus, Car, and PMI.

As HRD, you will play a key role in the leadership of the Marine Sector and drive the leadership of the Group-wide People function, contributing to the development and execution of the People Strategy and collaborating across the functional team.
You will:
Enable the Marine Sector ambition through a people plan that is cost-aware and representative of a growth agenda.
Understand and drive a rebalancing of the workforce to represent and reflect new proficiencies and challenges in the context for delivery and necessary skills adaptation.
Develop a clear vision and People plan, in the context of Babcock Group People plans, which enables the continued success of the Sector.
Be operationally engaged, to drive rigour and the continued enhancement of the employee experience.
Build strong working relationships with peers and role model collaboration and shared ownership across the Sector.
Create a compelling vision through which to excite, engage, and empower teams, energising and aligning people to deliver outstanding performance.
Experience of changing a culture to one where people are the focus of the business.
Experience of leading an HR conversation across a large, diverse, and complex organisation, business unit, or Sector, delivering all aspects of the people strategy.
Experience working as part of a leadership team at senior level coupled with the effective management of HR teams, driving change through the organisation.
Experience of working within a unionised and multi-site environment.
Commercially astute, with experience working in a fast-paced business. As part of the senior team, the HRD will be expected to contribute fully to the running of the business.
The confidence and skill set to serve as a coach for the senior leaders and with a strong bias to ongoing leadership development.
