The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management campus-wide.
The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
This position is responsible for administrative functions within the Human Resources Department, to include strategic oversight for recruiting and talent management initiatives.
The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.Responsibilities:Oversight of the employee life-cycle to include the recruitment process for staff, faculty and student positions in a timely and successful mannerManagement of the employee exit processInitiate communications and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits and general HR matters.Partner with Assistant Director of HRIS to troubleshoot issues in the Workday systemOversight and support of special projects and/or events such as training programs, annual benefits enrollment, performance evaluations, employee recognition, etc.Perform data analysis and reporting to provide insights for HR programs and solutionsAssist with training and career development opportunitiesPartner with HR leadership on policy creation and revisionCampus Security Authority (CSA) Other duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field requiredMinimum 5–8 years of experience required in area of expertise preferredPrevious progressive HR experience preferredPrevious experience in Higher Education preferredPrevious Workday experience preferredSHRM certification preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEqual OpportunityFlorida Tech does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, pregnancy, parenting status, veteran status or retirement status in its activities and programs.
