You will play a crucial role in providing HR/IR services, supporting managers, and fostering a culture aligned with our core values.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary contact for all HR-related enquiries for the predominantly Brisbane-based corporate teams (130 – 150 FTE) for the following key activities:In conjunction with the Head of HR – Corporate, determine the human resource management strategies, policies, and plans to meet business needs. Be accountable for implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating these within your client groups.Ensure leaders and team members are educated and following the performance management systems as per the local plan. Act as a lead facilitator and thought leader for all Talent Management strategies including but not limited to Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, Career Development, Individual Development, and Performance Reviews.Assist and coach Managers in all aspects of performance management with the goal of developing leadership competence, confidence, and courage to enhance personal and team accountability.Act as the coordination point for all recruitment activity. Advise and assist Managers in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and appropriate induction, training, and development programs.Maintain a working knowledge of relevant legislation implicit and explicit to the employment relationship and be able to interpret any appropriate industrial instruments (e.g., modern awards, contracts of employment). Provide effective IR advice to managers.Drive participation in the Company Engagement Survey, assist Managers to develop insights from the survey, and proactively develop and implement employee engagement improvement initiatives in line with strategy and tactical objectives.Act as the "pulse" for pending or potential HR issues, proactively advising the Head of HR – Corporate of any barriers and/or threats to employee engagement and performance.Accountable for developing the training needs analysis and managing the budget spend for your client groups. Communicate, organize, promote, and deliver management and employee training as required (e.g., Let's Be Fair Training, Recruitment Training, Performance Management training, Learning Factory).Utilize networking opportunities and other resources to identify emerging HR trends in the dairy, beverage, and manufacturing industries and ensure Lactalis Australia is kept abreast of and prepared to respond to these trends where they will add value to the business.Assist the People Experience Leadership team with research projects where input is required, by liaising with best practice companies to identify improvements for the business.Act as an effective HR representative for EEO, Discrimination Harassment, and Sexual Harassment, providing advice and facilitating solutions in line with Lactalis Policies and government reporting requirements.Oversee the application of redundancy and other employee retrenchment policies.Work with the HSE team to support the return to work of employees for work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses.Monitor employment costs and productivity levels.Oversee the Brisbane office including day-to-day escalation point for Office Manager Corporate Administrator.All other duties as required.ABOUT YOU:A successful candidate for this role is someone who can demonstrate a balance of positive, value-adding behavior and outstanding results, consistently meeting commitments to all stakeholders.
