A03 Housing OfficerASAP StartQLD State Government$48.12 per hour plus superFortitude ValleyTemporary ongoing opportunityGreat opportunity to join this busy team in a supportive environment, in a Housing Service Centre, where you will provide a broad range of applicant, tenancy and property management services and advice to customers with complex needs.The RoleRespond to customers face to face and via the telephone, undertake customer interviews, make referrals to support service agencies and assess new social housing and private housing assistance applications from customers.Manage and monitor rent and maintenance arrears, rent assessments, payment arrangements, refunds and collections.Manage tenancy arrangements, allocations, changes of tenancy and vacancies and liaise with other housing providers ensuring departmental compliance.Manage property maintenance and conduct property inspections.Maintain accurate customer and property records using the Microsoft Suite and internal IT systems with a high level of accuracy.Conduct home visits to properties and investigate and facilitate any tenancy disputes and complaints.YouThe successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with strong empathy and have previously worked in a customer-facing role. You will be able to demonstrate the following:Proven customer service experience (telephone and face to face).Previous experience in the community services industry is highly desirable, however not essential.Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills and confidence to quickly learn additional IT systems.High confidentiality, empathy and resilience to deal with people in distress.A National Criminal History check will be required before placement.Driver's License.ApplyTo be considered for this position, please apply below with your CV and cover letter in Microsoft Word format.
