It means doing the right thing, even if it is the harder thing, because it will ultimately create a better experience for our customers.What is expected of our Hotel General Manager?The Hotel General Manager, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for the comprehensive management of Wrest Point. The Hotel General Manager role is vital to ensuring optimal operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue growth, while collaborating with various departmental managers and overseeing on-property revenue optimisation. This role is responsible for directing all hotel operations, including food and beverage, conference & events, hotel accommodation and property services. Act as 2IC to the General Manager as required, with additional accountability for gaming and security operations, and act as a brand ambassador for Wrest Point. Provide leadership and operational planning to all departments, working closely with stakeholders to maximise efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.What will you bring to the team?Management of commercial results of a large and complex operation; analysing industry trends, monitoring financial results, adjusting plan as necessary, and optimising on-property revenue, use of resources and cost of goods.Experience in annual business planning, from development to execution, including financial and headcount budgeting, proposed business targets and KPI's as well as key projects.Leadership abilities to bring the business mission, vision and principles to life through a motivated and engaged operational workforce.Organisational capability building using the existing frameworks for development and performance management.Passion to lead and direct a customer service culture that goes above and beyond our guests expectations.Relationship management skills to work collaboratively with our internal teams and external stakeholders.You will also have Tasmanian Gaming, Liquor and Tobacco licencing or the ability to obtain and maintain these licences.
