This is a permanent Full-Time opportunity working a 2 weeks on/1 week off roster, either DIDO from local and surrounding areas or FIFO from Brisbane or Townville.
About the role
Our catering/dining team are responsible for delivering high standard village food and beverage services that includes dining room services, kitchen hand work and tavern services.
You will be a motivated hospitality professional with demonstrated customer service ethos and a focus on achieving outcomes as part of a team.
You will need to be able to work in a remote environment where extreme weather conditions occur in a physically demanding role requiring a large amount of manual handling.
The Position:

Delivering excellent customer service – ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment is offered to residents
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining room and kitchen areas
Assisting with food preparation and dishwashing
Assisting the catering team with cleaning the kitchen, dish/pot wash, rubbish removal, restocking food items, cleaning kitchen equipment, mopping/scrubbing floors, chemical handling, stock unloading, cleaning dining rooms, restocking bar/drink items, vacuuming/mopping
Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures within the kitchen/catering department and other relevant areas
Assist with tavern and retail services as required

Minimum Criteria:

Ability to undertake regular travel to site on a DIDO/FIFO roster
Ability to work in a remote and physically demanding environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to ensure dining operations run smoothly
Safe Food Handling Certificate (desired)
RSA Certificate (desired)
Physically fit with the ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical requirements
Possess an Australian drivers licence
