Hospital Stores and Purchasing Support Officer
Permanent Part Time - 15-20 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated person to join our busy private hospital.
As the Hospital Stores and Purchasing Support Officer, you will be responsible for the ordering, management, and distribution of stock to ensure continuity of service.

The role entails physical tasks, such as climbing ladders, regularly moving items that may weigh as much as 15kg, and using safe manual handling techniques.
The role is responsible to the Stores Manager, Theatre Manager, and Director of Nursing.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work independently and as a team High level computer skills Excellent attention to detail Able to prioritise workload Duties Include:
Regular ordering of medical and surgical supplies to ensure stock is available to meet the daily needs of the hospital.
Receiving stock deliveries and checking against orders.
Delivering stock to relevant hospital areas as required.
Investigating and problem-solving outstanding purchase issues.
Sourcing alternative suppliers, products, and reporting cost-effective supply options.
Ensuring that all goods are stored and packaged in an optimal manner and in accordance with relevant quality and safety standards.
Reviewing stock levels to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
Rotating stock to ensure expiration dates are monitored to minimise expiration of stock.
Ensuring all invoices and credit notes are processed in a timely manner.
Packaging and dispatching of goods and equipment as required.
Maintaining the store area in a clean and tidy manner.
Successful Applicants Will Possess:
Prior experience as a purchasing officer or store person Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team Must be physically capable Excellent attention to detail Self-starter and self-disciplined High computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and Excel Driver's license Please include your CV and a cover letter.
