Eye Surgery Associates (ESA) supports a group of highly qualified, experienced ophthalmologists committed to providing excellence in sub-specialty eye care. ESA enables the ophthalmic practices based at its premises to offer a broad range of specialist eye services that respond to the medical and surgical eye care needs of the community.
We are excited to introduce the new role of Hospital Liaison & Surgical Manager to our Administration Management Team. This opportunity would suit someone who has extensive experience working within a surgical hospital setting or specialist medical rooms. The role will be responsible for the complete oversight of surgical lists for the ophthalmic surgeons conducting their practices from ESA sites.
Reporting to the Executive Administration Manager, this role will lead a small team of dedicated surgical co-ordinators and be responsible for:
Ensuring surgical procedures are quoted & booked accurately Liaising with doctors conducting their practice Enhancing surgical list opportunities by liaising with hospital & theatre management staffManaging accreditation & certification requirements for hospital sites, health funds & other insurance bodiesThe ideal candidate will:
Be a positive people leader, experienced in coaching, mentoring & managing the performance of staffBe comfortable with leading & motivating through change processesHave experience managing surgical lists & a solid understanding of medical & hospital functionsHave very strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail & be highly organisedThis role will involve travel between our 4 sites located in East Melbourne, Doncaster, Malvern & Vermont.
