Permanent Part Time (40.5 hours fortnight) & Casual Hours available HS1 About the Role This position is responsible for processing of emergency attendances and emergency and elective admissions to Grampians Health Ballarat.
It includes reception, patient registration, capture of patient movements and insurance data and supporting the patient journey administratively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team are also required.
Good computer and time management skills are essential and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will have ability to work across 24/7 rotating roster including ED reception, Admissions and Private Patient Liaison and Flexibility to accept additional shifts to cover unplanned and planned leave.
Key Responsibilities Provide a professional, patient-focused approach, managing the entire care episode from emergency attendance to discharge while adhering to organizational policies.
Accurately input and update patient information in the IBA webPAS system, ensuring real-time capture of patient movements.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and demonstrate proficiency in using hospital systems such as IBA, BOSSnet, and Microsoft Office.
Foster strong working relationships with colleagues, maintain a team-oriented approach, and participate in the Patient Services roster.
Commit to ongoing learning, identify improvement opportunities, and engage in quality enhancement activities.
Understand various patient claim types, process payments, and provide accurate quotes while being flexible to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
Skills & Experience Demonstrate excellent customer service abilities to enhance patient interactions.
Ensure meticulous data capture to maintain accuracy in information.
Provide support and encouragement to colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Embrace change and new opportunities with a positive attitude.
Possess high-level computer skills, including accurate data entry and proficiency in various applications, with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
Previous experience in a hospital setting or similar role is preferred.
