About Us
Western Private Hospital (WPH) is a boutique private hospital servicing the West of Melbourne with the provision of acute services, which has 62 inpatient beds.
WPH's facilities include four Operating Theatres, CSSD, Day Stay Unit, Day Oncology Unit, Overnight Ward for Surgical, Cardiac/CCU & HDU patients, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, Nuclear Medicine Department, and is supported by pathology, pharmacy, radiology, and radiation therapy services. About the Role
We have multiple Hospital Administration Officer positions available where you have the opportunity to work with a highly regarded healthcare provider and be part of a team that is passionate about what they do and the difference that they make every day.
We are looking for suitably experienced individuals with well-developed administration, customer service, and people skills that will see you adjust quickly and work effectively as part of a dynamic team; excellent time management and organisation skills, where you can prioritise effectively and multitask; and who have previous administration experience in the health care sector, along with empathy and understanding due to their patient-facing nature.
In the role of Hospital Administration Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across various front office functions including patient admissions, reception/switchboard, conducting health fund eligibility checks and estimates, pre-admission support, bookings, and ward clerk duties.
You will fulfil your role as a member of the Front Office Administration Team, supported by a team of highly skilled patient administrators and the Administration Team Leader.
Positions are
permanent PART-TIME roles with a minimum of 3 days a week
working shifts across Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays if you are interested and with some weeks requiring more days during increased activity and to cover leave. We are also open to candidates who would like to work as a CASUAL.
Currently, we have the following functions and shifts available:
Patients Admissions & Discharges / Hospital Switchboard

6am to 2pm and 10am to 6pm
Pre-Admission Support

7am to 3pm
Healthfund Eligibility

10am to 6pm (must be able to work a Wednesday)

Requirements:
Must be
vaccinated against COVID-19, Influenza

proof of immunisation
against, or immunity to, infectious diseases as required per the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic).
Must provide a
National Police Check
conducted within the previous 6 months and evidence of
Australian Residency / Full Working Rights (No Sponsorship available) .
WPH may require a
Working With Children Check .
