Our client is a local manufacturer with a strong reputation for design and manufacturing products for the mining, logistics, infrastructure and agriculture sectors, utilise leading edge systems and technology.
Due to internal movement and growth, we're seeking a Hone Machine Operator to join their team in their machine shop.
The role: Ability to read and understand instructions, technical drawings, specifications and supplier catalogues.
Ability to accurately use Ball Gauges and Micrometres.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with other internal staff.
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work in a team based environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and show initiative to achieve quality outcomes.
What we're looking for: Trade Qualification in Fitting and Machining or equivalent (desirable) Forklift licence Experience using automated machinery (CNC operated machines).
Experience using engineering measurement tools (micrometres, dial indicators etc.).
Safe, accurate and efficient use of hand tools and general Workshop equipment.
Adhering to safe work practices.
Overhead crane use – knowledge of load limits and correct load practices.
