About the Role: Rare permanent part time opportunity for a dedicated Homelessness Case Manager to work 21.7 hours per week and enjoy a true work/life balance. Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) operates within the National Homelessness Stream of The Salvation Army (TSA) and is situated across multiple sites with the Wimmera South West Region . The primary purpose of this role is to advance the issue of homelessness, provide assessment, information and referral, support, case management and counselling for clients who are socially isolated, homeless or at risk of homelessness. Key Responsibilities: Undertake intensive client assessment for intake and the provision of information and referrals as required Attend to clients on an outreach basis and attendance at alternative sites Coordinate supports through case management practices Develop holistic case plans for all clients with a strength based, solution focused approach Develop appropriate housing plans for all clients participating in the program Link clients into job networks and other vocation programs Answer telephone enquiries about TSA Homelessness Horsham service delivery About you: Social Work qualification or other relevant social tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience Demonstrates knowledge of homelessness including context, causes, issues, philosophies and legislation Understands and applies homelessness models, approaches, theories and practices when dealing with clients Ability to understand and respond to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness A current VIC Drivers Licence / WWCC and willingness to undergo police clearance as part of the recruitment process Why work for us: Remote Area Housing Benefit to employees who live and work in the area (up to $31,800 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650) Eligible employees can access NFP salary packaging Opportunity for training and career development Paid parental leave Employee Assistance Program Discounted health and fitness programs Up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme Up to 5 days paid leave per year to support a TSA program or activity How to Apply: We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values, if you have the passion and drive to commit yourself to a challenging and rewarding role; we invite you to apply via the link on our website:
