About the role
HIPPY Australia - auspiced by Brotherhood of St Laurence - is one of the largest early learning networks in Australia and worldwide. Cohealth has a Sublicense and Funding Agreement with the Brotherhood of St Laurence to deliver HIPPY Braybrook.
The HIPPY Mentor is employed to provide peer support and deliver HIPPY to families through practicing activities with them. HIPPY Braybrook is coordinated and supervised by a HIPPY Coordinator who trains and supervises the HIPPY Mentors.
Responsibilities: Visit up to 15 families fortnightly in the first year, and weekly in the second year, to practice and deliver HIPPYRoleplay activities with Parent/Carer during scheduled visitsParticipate in fortnightly (then weekly, in the second year) training and regular staff meetingsRole model expected group etiquette and positive engagement to Parents/Carers and childrenWhat cohealth offers: Exciting Parental leave benefitscohealth offers primary carers 14 weeks paid parental leave upon completion of only 6 months of continuous serviceEligible co-workers will continue to receive superannuation on unpaid parental leave as wellSalary packaging to suit you - tax free amount of up to $15,900 p.a (mortgage, rent, or credit cards) and a further $2,650 p.a (meal, entertainment expenses and holiday accommodation)Novated Leasing availableCounselling services for you and your immediate family through our EAP-Access provider, and mindfulness, resilience, and wellbeing programsWe offer inclusion, equality, and opportunity in a workplace where making a difference counts (based on our guiding principles and values).
Minimum Requirements: Be a current HIPPY Parent/Carer, or has completed the program in the last 12 monthsInterest and enthusiasm in supporting other familiesHave good oral and written communication skills that will support program deliveryApplication Process

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement.
