We have a permanent full-time requirement for a High Voltage Technician to commence with Powertech to work across our Operations & Maintenance division on an even time roster. This is a BIBO / FIFO role from Brisbane throughout South-East Queensland.
Experience, skills and qualifications: Must hold "A Grade" (Fitter and Mechanic) QLD Electrical Workers License. Current LVR/CPR Certificate Current High Voltage Isolation and Access (Switching Operator) license or equivalent comprising: UEPOPS349B Operate Local High Voltage Switchgear UEPOPS428B Develop HV Switching Programs UEPOPS525A Co-ordinate and direct HV Switching Programs UEPOPS456A Perform Switching to a Switching Program Working knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards and Codes of Practice & relevant HV/LV switching activities. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements. Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism & communication. Ability to consult and liaise with clients / stakeholders at all levels and build sustainable relationships. Experience in HV switching including all aspects of testing for dead, phasing out and applying earths. Experience operating, maintaining and testing HV networks and associated equipment. Experience testing secondary systems highly desirable. Experience in writing, verifying and performing switching operations as per switching sheets and authorising HV switching schedules.
