Hewitt is thrilled to announce the creation of two new Regional Safety Officer positions, offering you the chance to join our dynamic People & Safety team across New South Wales and the Northern Territory. If you're passionate about promoting workplace safety and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety compliance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a Regional Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting safe work environments across designated state properties. What can you expect day-to-day? Key Responsibilities: Allocation of SPOT devices, management of TracerTrak program, ordering replacement devices and organising repairs, set up of new employees and removal of employees from Safety Systems i.e. SAS and TracerTrak. Management of Employee Safe Ag System inductions. Management of Contractor inductions and assist WHS Manager for contractor onboarding i.e. Assisting the station manager in raising Scope of Works, issuing Hewitt Work Orders to contractors for signoff, checking insurance and related licence information. Liaise with Capex team and WHS Manager for document preparation of high-risk projects. Assist with the refreshing and updating of safety systems. Preparation of weekly reports and data collection for end of month reporting processes. Extensive data entry and loading of training certificates to SAS and Employment Hero. Mapping updates. Monitoring and reviewing pilot flight logs. Operational & Training Responsibilities including but not limited to: Travel to regional stations at regular intervals to assist managers with safety related tasks/contractors/employee assessments etc. Travel to regional stations upon high-risk projects when safety assistance is required. Travel to regional stations to update PPE, posters and material when required. Assist the WHS Manager when requested, for incidents or investigations. Assist the People & Culture Partner in the organisation/logistics of training programs. Assist in the emergency response team protocol training. Assist the WHS Manager on implementing change or rollouts from annual internal audits. Candidate Requirements: Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or willing to obtain. ICAM trained (preferable) or willing to obtain. High attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suites and modern technology. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Other Important Information: Competitive Remuneration Package.
