Heritage And People'S Choice | Senior Finance Business Partner

Details of the offer

Job Description
About the role
Our organisation has experienced significant growth, doubling in size and opportunity, and we're now looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance and Data division. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Executives and Senior Leaders, leveraging your expertise to play a pivotal role in enhancing the organisation's financial performance by aligning financial resources with our strategic priorities.
This role reports to the Head of Financial Engagement and will form a key part of the Financial Analytics and Strategy team. As you may expect from a true partnering role, you will also play a pivotal role representing finance as you sit within the divisional Senior Leadership teams for the functions you partner with.
As a trusted partner, you will collaborate closely with the Finance & Data teams, as well as business leaders, to deliver high quality financial insights and drive informed decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for data analysis and financial performance to make a significant impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Building strong relationships with senior executives and leaders, providing valuable financial insights that influence decision-making and drive business performance. Partnering with business units to ensure a clear understanding of their financial performance, enabling effective strategy execution. Proactively identifying opportunities for data analysis and financial modelling that uncover critical insights and enhance business performance. Leading data analysis and financial modelling efforts, delivering actionable insights in a timely manner. Responding to business requests for financial analysis, providing accurate support to meet their needs. Implementing tools like Power BI to empower business units to self-serve their data and analysis where appropriate. Collaborating with business units to quantify financial benefits from project investments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Supporting the budgeting process by bringing insights from business partnerships, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategy and financial constraints. Contributing to accurate full-year financial projections and regular performance reviews, offering actionable insights for improvement. Participating in strategic initiatives, providing financial analysis and guidance to support key business decisions. Staying updated on industry trends within the Australian retail banking market and use this knowledge to drive competitive advantage. Actively contributing to a culture of risk management and promote a safe working environment.
About you
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience as a finance professional, it is preferred but not essential that you have some experience working within a retail banking context, and at least 3 years of experience in a finance business partner or similar role. An agile and conceptual thinker, you'll have a keen eye for detail and strength in analysing and interpreting data to inform business decisions. You'll be hands-on and systems-savvy, whilst also being no stranger to balancing priorities amongst competing deadlines. Your stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to support and influence leaders through change and will be key to your success.
We anticipate you will have a strong background in data analysis and experience in preparing and presenting complex or sensitive topics to executive committees or boards. Experience in business planning, strategy formulation, financial forecasting, and budgeting is also required.
