Reporting to the Manager People and Culture, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an established and respected local government organisation.
Key Responsibilities Support leaders in facilitating a positive workplace culture that promotes high-performance teams; Assist leaders with setting individual and team performance goals and addressing development needs; Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders on employee performance, management and conflict resolution; Lead or contribute to organisational change initiatives and projects designed to enhance leadership effectiveness, employee capability, and workplace culture; Interpret and advise on compliance with relevant industrial instruments, legal frameworks, and organisational policies; Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, providing organisation-focused people solutions. Applications are encouraged without delay from appropriately qualified and accomplished contemporary people and culture professionals with experience in employee relations management, performance management/disciplinary processes and developing and implementing organisational development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders. Highly developed negotiation and conflict resolution abilities are essential, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to provide innovative solutions. A business-partnering approach, focused on delivering value to both leadership and employees, is key. Local government experience is not a requirement.
