The role At Youfoodz, we're looking for a passionate and proactive Quality Assurance Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a rostered role, where we seek someone who can work different shifts from Monday to Sunday, supporting the quality of our production 24/7.
In this role, you'll be a key player on the production floor, ensuring that the food we produce meets the highest safety and quality standards. You'll lead critical verification processes, collaborate across teams, and continuously look for ways to improve. What you'll do Lead the daily monitoring and verification activities for our Quality Controllers and operational staff, ensuring we meet food safety and quality standards. Champion compliance by conducting GMP inspections and ensuring our production environment is always audit-ready. Investigate product issues, analyze root causes, and lead the implementation of corrective actions to improve processes. Maintain up-to-date QA documentation, ensure smooth communication across teams, and keep the Quality Manager informed with daily reports. Support and mentor production and packing staff, offering training and coaching to ensure everyone understands and upholds our high-quality standards. Participate in internal audits, sanitation activities, and calibration checks, ensuring our facility operates at peak performance. What you'll bring At least 1 year of experience in the food industry, with a solid understanding of food safety standards like HACCP. A passion for quality and a keen eye for detail—you're someone who loves solving problems and improving processes. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a desire to partner with people across the business to deliver results. Confidence in using tools like Microsoft Office, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
