The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Heidi, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling our cloud infrastructure, focusing on establishing our Azure presence while ensuring robust, secure, and observable systems.
You'll work closely with our engineering team to implement and maintain highly reliable infrastructure for our AI-powered healthcare solutions.
What you'll do:
Design and implement secure Azure infrastructure while working with existing AWS environments
Lead the implementation and management of containerized services using Kubernetes
Establish comprehensive observability and monitoring using Datadog for both infrastructure and applications
Design and implement robust SRE practices including SLOs, error budgets, and automated remediation
Lead incident response and post-mortem processes to drive continuous improvement
Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance requirements for healthcare systems
Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and other modern DevOps tools
Drive reliability improvements through automated testing and chaos engineering practices
Key Requirements:
Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure required, AWS and GCP beneficial)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
Deep experience with observability tools, particularly Datadog
Proven track record in implementing SRE practices
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Strong networking and infrastructure security background
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure certifications (Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert)
Backend development experience with modern programming languages
Healthcare industry experience
Experience with high-availability architectures
Understanding of HIPAA or similar healthcare compliance frameworks
Experience building cloud infrastructure from ground up
