Heidelberg Materials Australia have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician (Aggregates) to join the team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at the Kulnura Quarry, located within the NSW Central Coast.
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic.
This is not your usual white coat lab role! You'll be out in the field in your high vis and PPE, sampling and testing as well as working within the Quarry Laboratory.
The successful applicant will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven.
This is an excellent opportunity to enter the construction industry in a full-time technical role within one of Australia's leading construction materials suppliers.
In your new role, you will: Perform quarry material testing – Aggregate & Soil Carry out equipment calibrations Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained Assist the technical team This role is a great fit for you if you have: Excellent Health and Safety behaviours Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) Physically fit A current Provisional or Open driver's licence (essential) Available to work weekends and regular overtime Professional work ethic Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision Customer focused and excellent attention to detail What we offer: Base rate of $30.84 - $35.25 per hour + super, overtime and allowances Company uniforms and PPE are supplied Opportunity to complete Certificate/Diploma in Lab Techniques through our affiliated RTO while you work Full training from a friendly, experienced and supportive team Be part of highly recognised global brand name and successful organisation Ongoing career growth, training and development opportunities Our Recruitment Process: Submit your application online, be sure to answer all of the prescreening questions when you apply!
