Job Description Manage and oversee all aspects of hedge accountingEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations [former IAS 32/39 - IFRS 9 Impairments, Cash Flow, Fair Value]Prepare and present detailed reports on hedge activities [products sitting at global level - FX / IR / Credit / Net Investment Hedging] and performance [MI]Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial efficiency and profitabilityIdentify and mitigate financial risks related to hedgingStay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and standardsContribute to the development and implementation of department goals and strategiesProvide guidance and support to junior team membersThe Successful Applicant A successful Hedge Accountant AVP should have:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, all others welcome)Excellent Excel skills (VBA, SQL, Python highly desirable but not necessary)Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations - knowledge of language of Hedge Accounting (Cash Flow, Fair Value)Experience with hedge accounting in the financial services industryExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesWhat's on Offer An estimated salary range of £65,000 - £72,000 per annumCompetitive benefits package (market leading -- more upon application)Opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive company cultureProfessional development and career progression opportunitiesThe chance to work in the heart of Docklands, London, a global financial hub.If this role aligns with your career aspirations, we encourage you to apply and look forward to welcoming you to our team in London.
