To ensure we continue to maintain our comprehensive fleet, mobile, and plant equipment, we are seeking a Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for permanent full-time roles based at our Workshop in South Nowra.
This position will enable exposure to a diverse array of heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment including semi-trailer trucks, front end loaders, excavators, screens, and shredders.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Planning Coordinator, our heavy vehicle mechanics are responsible for quality service, maintenance, and repairs on our modern fleet of trucks, trailers, fixed plant, and earthmoving equipment.
Duties will include performing preventative maintenance, servicing, and responding to breakdowns when required.

Our ideal candidate will meet the below requirements:
Relevant Heavy Vehicle licence or qualifications Competent in diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components Understanding of completing Job Cards and schedule of works Experience with fixed plant maintenance and shutdowns Exhibit a commitment to WHS policies, procedures, and regulations Capability to work collaboratively with other departments Ability to troubleshoot complex repairs and respond promptly Can work unsupervised and be self-motivated Capable of training apprentices and mentoring other mechanics Ability to complete paperwork associated with fleet maintenance and repairs Commitment to maintain workshop area and tools and replenish stock Demonstrate a commitment to Quality & WHS Essential: Valid driver's licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles Desirable: HC Licence, Forklift and / or EWP Flexible Shifts - Morning shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Tool allowance, meal allowance, and overtime paid as applicable.
