This role will operate, DIDO or FIFO from Perth to our sites within Pilbara.As a mechanic at Orica, you will provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica's fixed plant and mobile plant on site.
At Orica, we have incredible training and organisational development infrastructure in which mechanical fitters who wish to take the next step in their careers into technical or leadership within a large global business.This is a remarkable opportunity for a skilled candidate wishing to embark upon a new stable career with a large global market-leading company offering excellent employment conditions, opportunities, roster and rewards.What you will be doing:General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance;Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices.What you will bring:Trade certification in either Heavy Road Transport, Auto Electrical or equivalent;For HV Mechanics, auto electrical knowledge is advantageous;Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;Ability to attain a Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license;Able to obtain security clearance such as Police Clearance, Dangerous Goods Clearance;Previous experience working on heavy vehicles (advantageous).What we offer:As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
