We are a leading company specializing in high-tech automotive solutions, currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art facility and help the company realise its full potential. Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Truck Mechanic to fill a full-time, permanent position. The role requires an individual who can inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles with diesel engines, particularly trucks. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical background, specifically in diesel and Japanese trucks (advantageous), and will be responsible for training apprentices and collaborating with other mechanics to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic. Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines. Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to complex mechanical issues. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members. Strong customer service skills and ability to advise clients on repair solutions. Experience with Japanese trucks. HR Licence. Previous experience mentoring and coaching apprentices or junior mechanics. Tasks and Responsibilities:
Diagnose, inspect, and repair trucks, specifically with diesel engines. Perform routine maintenance such as oil and tire changes. Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical issues. Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans for submission to customers. Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to provide high-quality service. Mentor and coach apprentices and junior mechanics. Provide customers with advice on repair options and associated costs.
