Our Client is a prominent civil engineering firm, specializing in road and rail track construction through its dedicated subsidiary. They have expanded by incorporating additional companies in the road construction sector.Your assignmentWe are looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work with an industry-leading organization.Location: Perth, Western AustraliaLength of contract: Full TimeYour main responsibilities:As the Diesel Mechanic, you will be working as part of a team to ensure all heavy equipment runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Preventative mechanical maintenance inspections on mobile fleetMaintenance and breakdown repairs to fleet of mobile plantComponent change outs, full test and adjust systems on all componentsDiagnosis, fault finding and troubleshooting on heavy equipmentMaintain and focus on safe work practices and safe work environmentYour backgroundTo be successful in this role, you must be open to work onsite and possess the following qualifications:3-5 years' experience as a heavy diesel mechanic/diesel fitter – preferably in the roads environmentAustralian recognised trade, or a Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate (Diesel mechanic, Diesel Fitter or Automotive Mechanic)Working rights in AustraliaRelevant trade qualificationsKnowledge in all aspects of operations, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of mobile plant and equipmentSelf-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when requiredHigh attention to detail with excellent time management skills
