Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter

AUSTCORP are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter within the civil contracting industry for field servicing and breakdown responsibilities.
Operating within the Road Surfacing business, you will be maintaining a fleet of specialized plant and equipment.
Reporting to the head mechanic you will be responsible for the servicing of the company's plant such as bitumen sprayers, heavy vehicles, loaders and rollers.
This role is workshop based for scheduled & preventative maintenance, repairs and responding to breakdowns.

Responsibilities
Performing all preventive maintenance activities and scheduled servicing on vehicles and equipment.
Service or repair of equipment either in the workshop or onsite at a breakdown location.
Locate any additional faults in equipment outside of requested service or repair.
Repair faulty or damaged mechanical parts.
Record accurately the job details in computer system.
Working to meet short sharp deadlines under minimal supervision.
Requirements
Qualified Diesel Mechanic/ Fitter.
Certificate III Engineering in Mechanical Trade or similar trade certifications.
Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy equipment in the civil industry – Heavy vehicles, Graders, Loaders, Mixers, Rollers, Spreaders etc.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Licences
Current Drivers Licence – Truck Licence is highly desirable.
Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space & White Card.
