Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Motor Mechanic

Vawdrey Australia They are currently recruiting multiple Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a fulltime and permanent role to work at the Dandenong South facility.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and the State manager, the Mechanics would perform repair and maintenance services on trailers.
Key responsibilities: • Servicing and repairing of trailer equipment; • Diagnosing problems and servicing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems; • Rebuilding and assembly of trailer components where required; • Working on preventative maintenance and inspections; • General housekeeping & manual handling tasks around the workshop; • Ability to perform basic welding is valued • To succeed in this role you will have: • Relevant trade qualification as a diesel mechanic • Previous experience working on trailers • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) • Accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision • Excellent work ethic and reliability As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol test.
