Excavator Operator - 36T +

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Excavator Operators to join our teams across Melbourne
11th June, 2024 Rokon is one of Victoria's prominent Civil Construction contractors. We are currently experiencing significant growth and have a healthy pipeline of projects on the horizon. Due to this, we currently have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Excavator Operators to join our teams in the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne.
As we grow, we have expanded our excavator fleet, bringing on 14 new machines in the last 3 months, ranging from 5t to 90t in size.
 
About the opportunity 
We currently have opportunities available across various sites. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your key duties include, but are not limited to:

Prepare and position plant for operation Load and unload equipment as required Excavate or scrape earth, rock or rubble to the correct level and alignment using GPS equipment Select, change and operate special attachments such as buckets, loading scoops, etc. Monitor operation of plant and adjust accordingly Work from drawings and markers for essential services (i.e. electrical, gas etc.), as directed by Supervisors and Engineers Follow and ensure safe operating procedures at all times About you
To be considered, you need to demonstrate the following:
At least 2 years land development and subdivision experience operating 36+ tonne excavators GPS, Topcon or Trimble experience is a must as you will be operating front line machines Drainage experience would be an advantage All appropriate tickets and appropriate licenses Rokon provides a family oriented and supportive workplace environment with training and career development. We have earned our reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget through our commitment to quality and efficiency. An attractive hourly rate, applicable allowances plus opportunities for overtime, will be provided.
