About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated Heavy Diesel Fitters with digger and/or drill experience (both preferred but not essential) to join the team working across various locations within WAIO operations/sites to conduct planned and/or breakdown maintenance.
You will work a family friendly 8/6 7/7 rotating roster FIFO from Perth. Our Field Service team is unique in which our team mobilises intermittently to where our specialised work, is predominately shutdown based and requires us to work across the Pilbara within BHP giving our technicians unique exposure to Liebherr & Epiroc major outages unlike other field positions in the business.

Responsibilities include:
Shutdowns, servicing, repairs, planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of Liebherr R9400, R996, 9600 and our Epiroc PV271 fleet. Field Digger and Drill experience naturally sought after - Epiroc and Liebherr of advantage but not essential. Following scheduled planned / breakdown maintenance and carrying out inspections on equipment as required with a high attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Execute work orders as per schedule and to a high standard to mitigate any re-work. Completing inspections and repairs as per the maintenance strategies and inline with site requirements to ensure a high quality of work. Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work where required and prioritisation of daily works. Contribute to a positive team culture, always working to a high degree of safety, without question. Clear and respectful communications between work groups and leaders to ensure an effective work environment. Assisting with mobilisation of Field Maintenance assets and containers between sites. About You Trade Qualified in Heavy Diesel Mechanics Previous experience in mining, in field services – desirable Liebherr and Epiroc knowledge highly desirable Highly safety focused Team focussed, with a positive team-oriented nature Autonomous work ethic Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work as part of a diverse team Respectful behaviours and good customer service Being aware of the shadow we cast when dealing with host sites and their representatives Adaptable to change and able to improvise safely with a focus on continuous improvement Confidence to speak up if something isn't right Strong ability to work remotely You will join an amazing team of people who enjoy working as a team and supervisors who support their trades and enjoy a fun, fast supportive and safe culture.
