Nepean Private Hospital is seeking a Recovery Coordinator / Team Leader to assist in the coordination of nursing care and work in partnership with the PACU Team. This new role is graded as a Clinical Nurse Specialist grade 2 and will be responsible for providing supervision, direction and guidance to ensure safe practice, quality care and leadership.

As a Recovery Team Leader (Clinical Nurse Specialist 2) your responsibilities will include: Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred care. Collaborate with the perioperative management team to provide strategic leadership, supervision and oversight as required. Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's policies and processes. Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development. Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices. Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum. Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes. Current AHPRA registration. Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Recovery RN. Prior experience as a CNS, acting NUM or in charge in PACU will be highly regarded. Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards). Compliance with ACQSHC National standards. Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment. Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres. Why Healthscope?
