Health Services Manager - Remote Western AustraliaFull timeSpinifex Health Service (SHS) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) that provides a wide range of culturally appropriate health and wellbeing services, including clinical, maternal health, child health, mental health, and specialist services, plus the Home and Community Care centre.Located 660 kilometres north-east of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, SHS operates under the direction of the Paupiyala Tjarutja Aboriginal Corporation (PTAC), a non-profit community organisation that manages the Tjuntjuntjara community on behalf of the Spinifex people.About the Role:As the Health Services Manager, you will oversee both strategic and operational management, implementing SHS's strategic plan, reporting to the PTAC CEO and in consultation with the Medical Director. Your responsibilities will include planning, directing, and coordinating daily operations, managing resources within budget, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality primary health care to the community.Key Responsibilities:Deliver services aligned with strategic priorities and best practices.Work with the CEO and Medical Director to maintain relationships with external agencies to optimize funding and service delivery.Ensure RACGP accreditation and maximize Medicare item claiming.Prepare and submit financial and performance reports.Manage an after-hours on-call roster for emergencies.Promote Aboriginal employment and professional development.Adhere to Work Health & Safety policies and regulations.What We're Looking For:Understanding of comprehensive primary health care and Aboriginal community-controlled health services.A tertiary nursing qualification would be highly advantageous.Experience in financial management and budgeting.Proven experience in managing clinical teams and staff development.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Competency in using accounting, word processing, and email software.Willingness to travel and work in remote areas.Current National Police Check.Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or an appropriate work visa.Valid manual driver's license with experience in 4WD in a remote location on poor roads.Why Join Us?Make a meaningful impact in remote health care.Competitive Pay and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits.Work in a culturally rich and supportive environment.Relocation assistance may be provided to the successful candidate.How to Apply:Submit a comprehensive resume and a cover letter demonstrating your suitability for the role to ****** by 5th December 2024.
