Your Tasks Lead a culture that promotes the safety of all workers, quality of product and protection of the environment at Austrak manufacturing facility.Assist and/or facilitate pre-starts, inductions, risk assessments, and other activities that support in creating a safe working environment.Assist supervisors and factory Manager in understanding and applying all aspects of health and safety, environmental management systems.Promote and drive responsible behaviours around Health and Safety and Environmental.Have a strong presence on the factory floor engaging with operators, supervisors and maintenance daily.Ensure the site maintains compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental Management Systems.Prepare reports, record data and collect evidence of the site's compliance to these systems.Assist in maintaining the annual ISO external audits.Attend Safety, Environmental and Quality Leadership Team meetings, and represent the site at these meetings.Conduct audit and inspection activities on site.Audit Schedule control, maintain, drive completion.Manage and maintain site Risk Register.Monitor and drive corrective actions to completion in a timely manner through engaging with supervisors, operators and maintenance.Identify health, safety and environmental non-conformances, conduct/coach site leadership teams in carrying out investigations and develop solutions for implementation.Support and advise Factory Manager and factory staff to improve the control of risks.Secretary to the HSE Committee Meeting.Manage/support the Worker's Compensation and injury management for the Factory.Flexibility to respond to emerging business requirements.Your Profile Experience in manufacturing, construction (desirable) and/or high-risk work (desirable) – but both not essential.Relevant degree with 2-3 years' experience or;Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety as a minimum, with 5 years' experience.Fire Safety Advisor for Queensland (desirable) but will provide the training if needed.Return to Work Coordinator Training, or willingness to obtain.Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Basic Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Your Benefits Generous remuneration package.Work anniversary bonus - every 5 years get an extra weeks annual leave + $3000 to spend on a holiday!Generous career development funds to support your career progression.Salary sacrificing options (including novated leases).Death and TPD insurance coverage.Salary continuance insurance.Additional purchased leave options.15 weeks paid parental leave + superannuation will be paid while on paid/unpaid parental leave for 12 months.Access to LifeWorks Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & employee recognition rewards program.Your contact person: Wyatt, Bree
