Job Description Location : Dubbo  Salary Package : $85k - $100k + Super + Bonus  Role Highlights: This newly created Health & Safety Coordinator role offers someone with at least 1 years experience a unique opportunity to grow with the company, shape safety culture, lead new initiatives, and work closely with teams passionate about health and safety.
If you're an adaptable, hands-on safety professional, join a business committed to growth and positive change where you can continue to grow your safety career  Role Overview  Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager who will be providing you with full training and ongoing support, you'll lead health and safety initiatives at site level, promoting safe practices, supporting systems implementation, and driving continuous improvement.
You'll be a key player in re-launching critical safety systems, engaging with various stakeholders, and influencing positive behavioural change in health and safety.
Based onsite at the Dubbo manufacturing plant which makes a range of food grade products.
Responsibilities Lead on-site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations Implement and monitor the site Health & Safety Strategic Plan, driving a proactive safety culture Support the rollout and effective use of the safety platform and other safety systems Act as the key point of contact for safety matters, building strong relationships across departments Provide health and safety training and guidance to site teams and contractors Collaborate with Engineering to ensure safety standards on-site for machinery, and other safety-critical areas Handle incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and recommend preventative actions Support health and wellbeing initiatives to foster a supportive workplace culture Candidate Profile  You'll have a minimum Cert 4 WHS qualification and 1-2 years of experience in a similar safety (WHS, HSE, SHE) role within a FMCG or manufacturing environment.
A strong communicator, you thrive in fast-paced settings, managing diverse stakeholders with ease.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment Experience in health & safety systems (DoneSafe, iAuditor, or similar) Ability to influence and drive continuous improvement A passion for safety and a hands-on approach to achieving results Culture & Benefits  This is more than a safety role.
