The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Professional ready for a new challenge? Cleanaway is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and oversee health, safety, and process safety practices with responsibility for the Karratha and Port Headland region in our Liquids and Industrial Waste Services Businesses supporting multiple industries and a growing decommissioning capability.
Based in Karratha key responsibilities include:
Coach and influence frontline leaders and workers, engaging teams to establish high standards of safety in everyday work.
Provide expert guidance or facilitation to operating sites and other functions relating to management of change, hazard studies, incident investigations, risk assessments, safe operating envelopes, safety critical elements and other aspects of process risk management.
Collaborate with keys HSE teams and stakeholders to effectively partner to deliver key changes or requirements.
Conduct hazard and risk analysis, as well as assurance of effective safe systems of work for high-risk work activities.
Embed a strong safety culture across site operations through the application of HSE Behaviours and establishment of a learning culture.
About You
Knowledge and experience working in the oil and gas industry, mining, industrial cleaning, or waste management is highly desirable.
Strong influencing abilities and capability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
Proven experience in process safety management (PSM) relating to process facilities though all stages of the plant life cycle to reduce operation risk.
Demonstrated ability to communicate across various levels and with external vendors and government agency representatives.
Understanding and experience working in transport, waste/resource recovery, vacuum loading, high pressure water jetting and shut down services.
Experience in facilitating Management of Change, Hazard Studies and Incident Investigations
Provide risk management advice for process plant & equipment that is fit for purpose, meets licensing requirements and ensures hazards are effectively managed.
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are preferred.
